Xander Perez-Vargas, 20, passed away peacefully at his home, on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, with his mother and sister by his side. A graduate of Somerset County Vocational & Technical High School, he studied welding. He continued his education at Raritan Valley Community College, pursuing engineering, with hopes of advancing to aerospace engineering. His greatest dream was to design and build planes. He was a young man of many passions and talents. He had a love for reading, often spending hours immersed in books. In elementary school, he enjoyed a quiet day at Barnes & Noble with a good book and a drink for his birthday. He was especially fond of the Harry Potter series and the I Survived series, which inspired his imagination and curiosity. Xander enjoyed cooking, his barbecue ribs and lentils were legendary. He also enjoyed gaming, with Call of Duty being his favorite, and had a deep love for Pokémon and anime. He will be remembered for his warmth, creativity, and gentle spirit. Though his time was far too short, he left behind a legacy of love, laughter, and dreams that inspired those around him.
He is survived by his devoted mother, Tatiana; his loving sister, Carolina, and all who were blessed to know him.
Visitation will be 8:00 to 9:15 AM, Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Avenue, Bound Brook, NJ 08805. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, Middlesex. Burial at Resurrection will follow.
