Spyridon Z Pournaras

Spyridon (Spiro) Pournaras passed away on May 26, 2025, at RWJ Barnabas Somerset hospital, with his wife in attendance.

Spiro was born in Greece and a long time Bound Brook resident. He was the former owner of Flower Palace and Bill’s II Restaurant/Diner on Main Street, Bound Brook.

Spiro is survived by his wife, Phyllis, his daughter, Christina Fischer (Ray), his stepson, Bill Modzianowski (Maria), his grandchildren, Heather, Eric and Kayla and his great granddaughter, Carlee. Also surviving is his twin sister, Giota (Angelo), his brothers, Aris (Denise) and Angelo, along with several nieces and nephews.

Gathering with the family will be 5:00 to 6:00 PM, Monday, June 2, 2025, at Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, Bound Brook with a prayer service beginning at 5:00 PM. Cremation is private.

Spiro, you are free of pain. Rest in peace. We will miss you.
