Robin Polansky, 62, of Manville, NJ passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 26, 2026 in Somerset County NJ.
She was born on May 29th, 1963, in South Bound Brook, NJ to late Elizabeth (Betty Simon) and Peter Paul Polansky. She grew up in South Bound Brook with her four siblings Janice, Alan, Karen, and Lori.
She attended Bound Brook High School and graduated as a proud member of the class of 1981. Robin was a very artistic individual and excelled at art and design. She absolutely could not pass a market without purchasing her scratch offs. She loved going to flea markets and yard sales, always one to barter for a great deal. After high school, she accepted a position with OP David in New Hampshire painting porcelain figurines and relocated there after graduation. She continued that artistic designing while working for The Sign Shop in NH and later at FastSigns in NJ. For the past 19 years she was employed by the 3M corporation as shift supervisor creating and packaging critical life saving 3M products that helped many people around the world.
The role in her life of which she was most proud was being a loving mother and grandmother. She was loved by many, and her quiet dedication and sincere kindness will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her fiancée Ron Tarsan, her children Jayson Polansky (Jill Fitts) and Jillian Polansky-Mercier (Corey Proulx) grandchildren Aiden and Aubrey Proulx, sisters Janice Polansky, Karen Barglowski, and Lori Polansky (Keith Koziatek).
She was Aunt Robin to Eric, Andrew and Rebecca Barglowski, as well as Brandon Koziatek.
She was preceded in death by her parents Elizabeth (Betty Simon) Polansky (2009), Peter P. Polansky (2001), sister Cindy (1962), brother Alan (1983), Grandparents Sarolta (Sima) and Paul Simon, Ronald Mercier (2017, father of Jillian).
Rest in peace Robin, we will miss your infectious laughter, hugs and caring heart. Your suffering has come to an end, you're now with the many loved ones we miss.
Both a burial and Celebration Of Life will be scheduled this spring. Family and friends will be notified of the arrangements when they become available.
