Norma L. Klotzbach, 85, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Community Medical Center in Toms River, New Jersey, with her loved ones by her side.
Born in Plainfield, New Jersey, to the late Arthur and Eileen Hauck, Norma spent her early years in Bound Brook. She attended grammar school there, received her First Communion at St. Joseph Church, and later graduated from Bound Brook High School. She went on to work at Inmont Corporation in Bound Brook and at St. Peter’s Hospital in New Brunswick. During her children’s school years, she was an active and dedicated member of the PTA and the Bound Brook High School Booster Club.
In the early 1970s, Norma relocated to Virginia Beach with her family, embracing a new chapter while maintaining close ties to her New Jersey roots. She eventually returned to Bound Brook to raise her family and remain near loved ones. Later in life, she settled in Manchester, New Jersey, where she spent the last two decades of her life and was a devoted parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Toms River.
Norma found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved reading and devoted much of her time to prayer. She was rarely without her camera, determined to capture every moment, often ensuring no one escaped without posing for just one more picture. She also cherished attending her granddaughter’s events, always eager to support and celebrate every accomplishment, big or small.
Known for her warmth and compassion, Norma was always quick to offer kindness and a helping hand. She had a special gift for making others feel seen, valued, and cared for, taking a genuine interest in everyone she met. Her generosity extended beyond her family, as she faithfully supported causes close to her heart, including her parish church, the Alzheimer’s Association, Koinonia Academy, the American Heart Association, and the American Cancer Society.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any of the organizations or causes that were important to Norma.
Norma was predeceased by her first husband, William Ritzi; her second husband, Robert Klotzbach; and her sisters, Barbara Pyle and Joyce Vesuvio.
She is survived by her children, Karen Ritzi and William Ritzi Jr.; her sister, Judith Bonnesen; her beloved granddaughters, Megan Ritzi and Gianna Todaro; as well as her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.
