Minerva Masucci

Minerva Masucci, 86, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026.

She was born in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico and later came to New York, where she and her three children stayed with family. They eventually made their home in Bound Brook, New Jersey. On Easter Sunday in 1973, she met the love of her life, William, and the two were later married, beginning a lifelong partnership filled with family, faith, and shared commitment.

Minerva worked as the secretary of a doctor’s office when she wasn’t being of service to her church. She was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of New Brunswick, serving faithfully as a deaconess, treasurer, and Head of the choir. She especially loved singing and found great joy and peace in worship.

Minerva had many talents and passions. She loved sewing, making clothes for her children and even Barbie dresses. She was proudly frugal and had a deep love for thrifting at secondhand stores like Goodwill. Above all, she was deeply family-oriented and was happiest when hosting memorable holiday dinners, spending quality time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and spoiling her adored pug, Bindy.

Minerva was predeceased by her grandson Matthew, her sister Teresita, her brother Juan, and her parents Luciana Figueroa and Ramon Lopez.

She is survived by her beloved husband, William P. Masucci; her children Frances Huffman (Thomas), Evelyn Trimble (Donald), Frank Arrieta (Angela), Caroline Ciccone (James), and Catherine Masucci; grandchildren Reichel Weddle (Ethan), Daniel Trimble (Nicole), Brittany Baiza (Anthony), Olivia Trimble, Wyatt Trimble, Francesca Arrieta, James Ciccone II, Selena Eisenhower (Timothy), Joseph Ciccone, Rahim Key, and Carena Dunlap; and great-grandchildren Connor Trimble, Gavin Trimble, Riley Trimble, Jaydyn Walker, Gage Walker, Kingzley Baiza, Princeton Reece, Grayson Eisenhower, Cedella McClain and Catalena McClain.

Gathering with family and friends will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Avenue, Bound Brook.

A funeral service will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment at Bound Brook Cemetery to immediately follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Minerva's husband, William P. Masucci for assistance.
