Michael Albert, 92, of South Bound Brook, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at his home on November 4, 2025, the youngest son of Lebanese immigrants William and Genevieve Albert. Michael grew up on a small farm in Somerset, NJ. After high school, he went into the US Air Force where he was stationed at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, NM. It was there, when he met the love of his life and dance partner, Madelyn. They married and moved to New Jersey where he worked as a carpenter making furniture and cabinets. Michael later went to work at Peapack Gladstone Bank while going to night school to get his associates degree in accounting. Soon after, he was employed for NJ Department of Banking until his retirement. A longtime resident of South Bound Brook, Michael served proudly as a councilman for three years, working to better the town he loved. He was a member of the American Legion in Middlesex, a devoted member of Our Lady of Mercy, the Holy Name Society, and served as a Parish Representative for Pro-Life ministries. Michael also shared his strong faith as a CCD and RCIA teacher, guiding others on their spiritual journey. Beyond his civic and religious commitments, Michael found great joy in ballroom dancing, a hobby that brought him many friendships and happy memories over the years.
Michael was predeceased by his beloved wife, Madelyn (nee Smith), in 2023; his brothers Herbert, John, Albert, Frank and Gabriel; and his sisters Mary, Grace, and Nazarah Bocchino. He is survived by his loving children; Michael II, Christopher (Theresa), and Timothy (Jo). He was a proud grandfather to Michael III (Deyanira), Shawn, Kathryn (Kris), Eliana, and great-grandfather to Lagertha.
