Maxine Morrison

Maxine Morrison, 101, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 10, 2025, in Somerset.

Born in Jersey City, she was the daughter of the late Max and Emily. Maxine grew up in Linden, before relocating to Finderne and was a proud graduate of Bound Brook High School, Class of 1941. In 1947, she married the love of her life, Marvis Morrison, at the Congregational Church, where she remained an active and devoted member for many years.

Maxine’s life was marked by her deep faith and commitment to community. She taught Sunday School, participated in the Women’s Association, and was a proud member of the Order of the Eastern Star. A longtime resident of Bridgewater, she was known for her kindness, warmth, and steady presence.

She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother whose family was the center of her life.

Maxine was predeceased by her beloved husband, Marvis, in 2011, and her son, Mark, in 2010. She is survived by her daughter, Marianne, and her husband, Arthur, and her cherished grandchildren, Stephanie, Matthew, and Peter.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 1:30 p.m., at the Congregational Church of Bound Brook. Arrangements are in the care of Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, Bound Brook.
