Marie Weidemann, 87, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.
A lifelong resident, Marie was born and raised in Bound Brook and graduated from Bound Brook High School. She continued to live in her cherished childhood home, where she lovingly cared for her parents.
A devoted homemaker, Marie’s warmth and humor filled every room she entered. She was known for her intelligence, wit, and quick smile—qualities that made her a joy to be around. She loved Italian food, a perfectly cooked steak, and sharing cake and coffee with family and friends. Marie also enjoyed collecting wreaths and staying informed about current events.
In her younger years, Marie shared a beautiful love story with her high school sweetheart and first husband, Edward “Buddy” McMullen, who passed away in 1975. Their bond and memories remained a lasting source of comfort, and she remained devoted to him until her death.
Marie was a strong, active part of her community. Always ready to tell a witty story and share a laugh, she was surrounded by neighbors who adored her.
Marie is survived by her beloved nieces and nephews, Jill Biagio (Chuck), Jeff Mastrull (Sara), Jane Carter (Steven), and Joe Mastrull (Nancy); her cousin Theresa Tedesco-Vassallo; and her cherished neighbors, Karen, Jeannie, Miguel, Howard, Rosie, and Barbara.
Services are private. Arrangements are under the care and supervision of Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home.
