Madeline C. Wojciechowski

Madeline Wojciechowski passed away peacefully at her Bound Brook home on Sept. 19 at the age of 88, ending a life well lived and well loved.  Born to the late Lillian and Thomas Fanning, Madeline grew up in Manville, NJ and settled in Bound Brook after marrying her husband Leonard in 1957. Madeline enjoyed many life-long friendships and especially cherished joyful reunions with her fellow classmates from the Bound Brook High School class of 1954. A member of the St. Mary’s Church, she participated in countless church social gatherings, with weekly Bingo games being her favorite. Before his passing, Lenny and Madeline could often be seen walking hand in hand from church activities.    Above all, Madeline cherished her family and role as matriarch to ensure traditions, such as Pierogi Production, were passed down through each generation. 

She was the proud Mother of three children: son Leonard and wife Donna Wojciechowski of Bound Brook; daughter Donna and husband Thomas Kophamel of Piscataway; son Robert and wife Lisa Wojciechowski of Bridgewater. She was the loving Grandmother of Andrew; Allison, Christopher, Katelyn, Ashley; Chelsea and Lauren and beloved Great Grammy to Leah, Grant, Aubrey, Robert, Kevin and Lennon. Madeline also leaves behind her sister Lillian Renulfi of Claymont, DE; several nieces and nephews, and many caring friends.   Madeline was pre-deceased by her husband of 35 years Leonard in 1992; a beloved granddaughter and two great-granddaughters; sister-in-law Irene Dolnarowicz and siblings Charles Fanning, James Fanning, Clara Balent, and twin sister Mary Santore.   

Gathering with family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Avenue, Bound Brook.  A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at St. Mary of Czestochowa Church, Bound Brook.  Interment will follow at Bound Brook Cemetery.
