John L. Warner

John L Warner Jr., 81, of Toms River, passed away on October 8, 2025 at home, surrounded by family.

John was born on January 31st in New Brunswick, to John and Mary Warner. He grew up in Bound Brook and graduated from Bound Brook High School, later serving honorably in the US Navy.

After his father, John Sr., he proudly carried on the family legacy as the longtime owner and operator of the Bound Brook Hotel. He took great pride in serving his community and building lasting relationships with friends and customers. Always a welcoming face, John found joy in seeing others enjoy themselves and in creating a place where everyone felt at home.

Beyond his professional life, John was known for his generosity and his constant willingness to help others. He loved taking daily car rides with Nadj along the bay and beach, always curious about who was catching what at the docks. An avid fisherman and crabber himself, he cherished time spent on the water. John was also a devoted fan of the New York Yankees and New York Jets. Strong-willed and stubborn in the best way, he was never shy about sharing his opinions — and that’s exactly how those who loved him will remember him.

He is survived by his wife Nadine, his three children: John III of Toms River; David and his wife, Danielle, of Hillsborough; and Frank and his wife Gisella of the Bronx, NY. He is also survived by four beloved grandchildren: Dennis, Alexis, Olivia, and Francesca.

Gathering with family and friends will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Avenue, Bound Brook.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
