John A. Lange Sr.

John Lange Sr., 82, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Foothill Acres in Hillsborough.

Born in Plainfield, he was the son of the late Walter and Margaret (Page) Lange. John was a longtime resident of Middlesex, where he raised his family. He worked as a heavy equipment operator with Atlantic Development and Management in Warren for 35 years before retiring in 2008.

John was a motorcycle enthusiast who loved long country rides, fishing, and cheering on the New York Giants and Rangers. He especially treasured time with his family, proudly watching his grandson play hockey and his granddaughter compete in English riding horse shows.

He will be remembered as a hardworking, devoted, and loving father and grandfather.

John was predeceased by his parents, and his brother Robert. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 ½ years, Diane Lange; his sons John Jr. and Thomas; his granddaughter, Kourtney, her husband Steve; and his grandson Kyle; and his beloved dog Bella.

Gathering with the family will be 1:00 – 4:00 PM, Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Avenue, Bound Brook, NJ.  A prayer service will begin at 1:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in John's honor to the Somerset Regional Animal Shelter.
