Janet Rose Marinelli, 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 1, 2026.

Born in Rice Lake, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of Edward and Helen (Fankhauser) Lola. After graduating high school, Janet enlisted in the Air Force, serving her country from 1959 to 1961. It was during her time in the Air Force that she met Anthony, who later became her husband. They settled in Bound Brook and raised their family.

Mrs. Marinelli worked as an operator for Bell Telephone in Dunellen for 25 years. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and going to casinos.

Janet was predeceased by her husband, Anthony in 2014.

She is survived by her daughters, Kelly Marinelli and Christine Barton; her grandchildren, Randy, Anthony, Lisa, Ryan, and Brandon; and great-grandchildren, Dylan, Hazel, Vincent, and Andrew.

Gathering with family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Avenue, Bound Brook.

Entombment will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 6, 2026 at Resurrection Burial Park, 899 East Lincoln Avenue, Piscataway.

All arrangements are under the care and supervision of Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home.
