Gloria Baita, 93, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2026, at Fountain Springs at Cape May.
Born in New Brunswick to the late James Sr. and Mary (Ricci) Cozza, Gloria was a lifelong resident of New Jersey. Her early years were spent in Bound Brook, where she graduated from the St. Mary School. She furthered her education at Raritan Valley Community College, earning a certificate in childcare development and fostering a lifelong dedication to caring for others, both professionally and personally.
Gloria worked as the Recreational Director of the Bridgewater Convalescence Center for ten years, where she enriched the lives of countless individuals. In addition to her director role, she served as a private nanny.
Gloria took great pride in organizing and supporting activities for local youth. She was a Den mother for Cub Scout Pack 42 and volunteered as an organizer for little league baseball. She also raised money by operating a concession stand on the boardwalk, delighting customers with cotton candy, pretzels, and candy apples.
Gloria was a master baker, especially when it came to cakes. She was very creative and loved all types of crafting. She loved her family deeply and cherished time spent with them, especially during summers at the family’s vacation home in Wildwood.
Gloria was predeceased by her husband, Robert Baita Sr. and her daughter, Gloria Ann Toth.
She is survived by son Robert R. Baita, Jr. and wife Debra; son Bruce J. Baita, and wife Susan; granddaughters Sherie Manna and husband Eric, Harleigh Monti and husband Jared, Katrina Pyatt and husband Mike, Jennifer Toth, Jeanettte Magrino and husband Joe, and Justine Toth; grandsons Matthew and Kevin Miller; great-grandchildren LilyAnn Manna, Carmela Monti, Mikaela Monti, Owain Pyatt, Olivia Pyatt, Avery Pyatt, Grace Pyatt, Dylan Lordi, Jenna Magrino, Alexa Magrino, Madison Magrino, and Cheyann Toth.
Gathering with friends and family will be from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Avenue, Bound Brook.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at St. Joseph Church, 111 E High Street, Bound Brook.
Interment to immediately follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway.
All arrangements are under the care and supervision of Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home.
