Emily Ann Laskowski, 99, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2025, surrounded by family. Emily was born in Jeddo, Pennsylvania, to the late Stephen and Edna Bonge (nee Pavelko). After graduating from Hazleton High School, her family moved to Newark, New Jersey, where she began working in the city before later settling in Manville with her husband, Bruno. In 1959, the couple moved to Bound Brook to continue raising their family.
"Tiny but mighty,” Emily dedicated herself to her work as an Electronic Technician for Data Tech and Burroughs Corp., demonstrating an admirable work ethic that did not wane until her retirement at the age of 69. Her incredible passion for work extended beyond her career to her hobbies, where she expressed her creativity through sewing, knitting, crocheting, crafting and cooking. Eternally a sports enthusiast who attended all of Cheri's childhood sporting events, Emily was a dedicated Mets fan who found excitement in watching baseball games and tennis matches on television. A long-time member of St. Mary of Czestochowa Church, her faith and community were important parts of her life. Above all, she took immense joy in her role as a doting grandmother to her adored grandchildren. Their joy became her joy, and she always found time to take care of them, making cherished memories filled with laughter and fun.
Emily is predeceased by her parents and beloved husband, Bruno Laskowski.
She is survived by her children: Walter Laskowski, Suzanne Laskowski, Lori Laskowski, Cheri Laskowski Pentz, and her husband Randy; grandchildren: Matthew Laskowski-Chervassi and his wife, Cecily, Savannah, Colby, and Simon Pentz; and siblings: David Bonge, Shirley Rowley, and Edna Hikes.
