In Loving Memory of Eligio Quiñones Sr.
With heavy hearts and profound love, we celebrate the life of Eligio Quiñones Sr., a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather and great-grandfather, and a man whose greatest joy in life was his family.
Eligio was born on September 12, 1945, in Paloma, Puerto Rico. At the age of 18, he moved to New Jersey, where he built a beautiful life filled with hard work, love, laughter, and cherished family memories.
He dedicated 33 years of service to Ford Motor Company in Edison, New Jersey, where he demonstrated the strong work ethic and dedication that he carried throughout his life.
Eligio was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Maria Quiñones, who passed away on September 21, 2020, his cherished grandson, Marc Anthony Quiñones, who passed away on May 18, 2005, and his beloved granddaughter, Manadlie Quiñones, who passed away on December 9, 1990.
Together, Eligio and Maria built a loving family and created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
He was a devoted father to his four children: Eligio Quiñones Jr. (Maritza), Julia Muñoz (William), Mildred Flores (Luis), and Anthony Quiñones (Catherine).
He was a proud and loving grandfather to Enrique Torres (Yorbelid), Marcalis Quiñones (Amanda), Kistina Schieferstein (John), Joseph Quiñones (Allyson), Brianna Brock (Marvin), Luis Flores Jr., and Jason Flores.
His love and legacy continue through his cherished great-grandchildren: Victor Quiñones, Ariella Schieferstein, Urijah Quiñones, Catalina Quiñones, Eli Schieferstein, Saelah Quiñones, Camila Torres, Valentina Torres, Lylah Quiñones, Mariella Brock, Tyson Brock, and Amelia Torres.
Eligio enjoyed cheering for his beloved New York Mets and New York Giants, playing dominoes, and, most of all, spending time with his family.
Nothing brought him greater happiness than having his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren together. He treasured family gatherings, Sunday get-togethers, cookouts, games, laughter, and the simple joy of being surrounded by those he loved.
For Eligio, happiness was never measured by money or material things. His greatest treasure was his family. Seeing his loved ones together, laughing and enjoying life, was all he ever needed.
He leaves behind a lifetime of beautiful memories, a family strengthened by his love, and a legacy that will live on for generations.
Although his presence will be deeply missed, the lessons he taught, the laughter he shared, and the unconditional love he gave will forever remain in the hearts of everyone who knew him.
His greatest accomplishment was not what he owned or achieved, but the family he loved and the beautiful life he built with them.
