Dorothy Fogarty, 91, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2026. Born in the Bronx, New York, she was the daughter of Rose and Raymond Kennelly. Dorothy graduated from Aquinas high school in the Bronx before marrying her husband, Michael Fogarty.

While Michael served in the United States Army, the couple lived in Fredericksburg, Maryland. They later moved to New Jersey, living first in Raritan before settling in Bound Brook in 1968. Dorothy moved to Bridgewater in 2019.

Dorothy was a homemaker who devoted her life to her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was a member of the choir at St. Joseph Church, where she also served as a cantor. She taught CCD there for many years and was also a Eucharistic Minister. Dorothy was also a communicant of St. Ann Church in Raritan. She will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her faith, and her years of service to her church community.

She was predeceased by her husband Michael, her daughter Eileen (Robert), and granddaughter Shannon.

She is survived by her son Michael, and his wife Laura; daughters Kathleen Hall, and Patricia McFadden and her husband Brian; her grandchildren Sarah, Andrea (Zach), Michael, Erin (Tom), Sean, and Megan; and her great grandchildren Alexis, Serenity, Caleb and Luca.

Services are private. Arrangements are in the care of Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, Bound Brook.
