Listen to Obituary

Dorothy Cimino, of Bound Brook, New Jersey, 84, died Thursday, September 25, 2025 peacefully in her home surrounded by the love of her husband and children.

She was born on February 14, 1941 in Somerville, NJ and grew up in Raritan, NJ. Dorothy was the daughter of Angela and Charlie Yannetta.

Dorothy worked at Hayden’s Flower Shop in Bound Brook for over 25 years. She began assisting customers with orders and later on developed a love for flowers, then becoming a flower designer.

Our mother had a heart of gold and always wanted to make everyone around her happy. It was a gift to know her and be in her life. She had a love for sports and loved to watch the Yankee’s with her husband and almost never missed a game. She also loved to watch Football and go to her grandchildren’s soccer and football games and perform at their musical theatre shows on stage. She even took her granddaughter Nicole to NYC for auditions. She had a love for entertainment and enjoyed going to broadway plays, concerts, and going to the Young and the Restless fan club events and seeing all the stars. She called all her grandchildren her pride and joy and her face lit up when she saw them. She had many close friends and loved to play cards with them. Most of all, she was the best of the best Mother, Grandmother and Wife. She would do anything for them and gave them all unconditional love. She stood by her husband throughout his whole career and was so supportive. She had a love for her husband which was so beautiful to watch. They enjoyed traveling all over the world and going on 15 boat cruises. She was a true gem and like her husband said, “there will be no other Dorothy.”

Her love for her husband, Anthony and their 3 children, 5 grandchildren and her great granddaughter, Sienna was unconditional. Dorothy’s family and friends are blessed to have so many special memories with her.

Dorothy is survived by her beloved husband, Anthony Cimino and her their three children, Anthony Cimino Jr. and his wife, Laura, Denise Paternoster and her husband Kenneth, and Linda Bojtos, her 5 grandchildren, Nicole and her husband, Dominick, Kenneth Jr. and his wife, Sophie, Alyssa, Angela, and Johnny and her great granddaughter, Sienna. She was predeceased by her two sisters, Carol House and Barbara Mattei.
