David William Snyder, affectionately known by many as "Snacks," passed away peacefully at his home on September 30, 2025, at the age of 61.
A skilled carpenter by trade, David dedicated many years of his life to working for J.A. Salerno Bros. in Cedar Knolls. His remarkable ability to fix nearly anything made him a cherished asset to friends and family, who often sought his expertise in crafting and repairs. Beyond his professional accomplishments, David was known for his loyalty and dependability. His wide-ranging knowledge, particularly in history, and his sense of humor endeared him to many, making any interaction with him both enlightening and enjoyable.
David had a zest for life that included adventures with family, trips to Six Flags, and enjoying his favorite meals from Panera and Chipotle. His generosity and commitment to helping others shone through in his routine blood and platelet donations.
David is survived by his loving daughters, Jennifer, Rebecca (Kevin), Sarah (Ethan), and Elizabeth (Larry); grandchildren Alice, Lucas, Levi, and Julia; siblings Sharon (Justin), Daniel (Theresa), and Donald; his mother RuthAnn; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was predeceased by his father, William, and his girlfriend, Bonnie Lehmer.
Gathering with friends and family will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Avenue, Bound Brook. A funeral service will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Interment to follow at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick Township.
All arrangements are under the care and supervision of Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in David’s honor to the American Red Cross.
