Dana Mark Fosburgh, of Lebanon, New Jersey passed away at home surrounded by family Friday evening, November 21st, 2025. He was born on May 25th, 1960, in Manchester, New Hampshire. Dana was raised by Edward and Charlotte Fosburgh and grew up with his sister Jody on the shores of Rocky Pond. Here he would play ice hockey in the freezing winters and developed a lifelong love of the New England Patriots. Dana attended New Hampshire College (now known as Southern New Hampshire University) where he eventually went on to meet not only lifelong friends but also his wife, Jennifer, whom he married on June 24th, 1989. He and Jennifer had many adventures together, including moving to Maine, road-tripping cross country, and adopting and raising three beautiful girls from China. Dana devoted himself to being a stay-at-home father, giving the whole family opportunities to make extra special memories. Summers spent in Bethany Beach, Delaware, along the Choptank River in Maryland, and at his childhood home on Rocky Pond remain among the family’s most unforgettable moments. Dana began his professional life in construction, but his work quickly became a true creative passion. He was an artist at heart who dedicated himself to building the parts of a house that make a home. Whether this be a full addition, a porch, or kitchen cabinets, his work was loved by all. Later on in his life he even opened up an online Etsy shop where people from across the country could find his craft in tiny space tables. When he wasn’t making something himself, he enjoyed watching others create. Dana especially loved music. You could ask anybody he ever knew and they would say he was a music guy. Somebody who could appreciate the composition, the lyrics, and the quality of what the artist wanted to say. Dana was a caring, gentle, and dedicated husband, father, son, brother, son-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend. He brought curiosity and laughter with him on every step of his journey.
He is preceded in death by his brother-in-law Robert “Andy” Spencer; his mother-in-law Patricia Spencer; and his sister-in-law Kathryn Hayes. Dana is survived by his wife, Jennifer (Spencer) Fosburgh, and their three daughters, Jade, Lily, and Mia; his parents, Edward and Charlotte Fosburgh; his sister, Jody Carmody, her husband James, and their children Townsend and Alex. He is also survived by his wife’s family: his father-in-law, Robert Spencer; his sister-in-law Elizabeth Richardson, her husband William, and their children Spencer, Emily, and Patrick; his sister-in-law Susan Spencer-Craig, her husband William, and their children Lisi and Olivia; his brother-in-law Michael Spencer, his wife Margaret, and their children Will, Claire, and Henry; and the family of his late brother-in-law Robert “Andy” Spencer — his wife Christine, and their children Addison, Katie, and Robert.
