Hillsborough

Listen to Obituary

Anthony L. Izzo, 65, died at his home on Friday, February 6, 2026 with his wife Rosanne by his side.

Anthony was born in Somerville, New Jersey on March 25, 1960 immediately following his twin brother Jerry into the world. Anthony lived in Bound Brook, NJ until moving to Hillsborough in 1989. He received his Associates Degree from Somerset County Vo-Tech in June of 1981. After an early career in heating and cooling, Anthony joined U.A. Local #696 in May 1985 as an apprentice in the sprinkler industry. He achieved 40 years of service in May 2025. Anthony was a master sprinkler fitter and partner/owner of Quick Response Fire Protection and QRFP Special Services in Freehold, NJ from September 1999 until his retirement. Back flows, pump systems, suppression systems, mechanical systems and anything related to fire protection were no match for his expertise. He never encountered something that he could not fix.

Anthony was predeceased by his father Luigi “Louis” Izzo in 1996 and his mother, Teresa DeStefano Izzo in 2007.

Left to cherish his memory is his high school sweetheart and wife of 41 years, Rosanne Gray Izzo. Anthony is also survived by his daughter Christina Tedeschi and her husband Louis and his precious grandsons, Louis Enzo IV and Vincent Antonio of East Windsor, NJ as well as his son, Anthony Louis II of Stewartsville, NJ. Anthony is also survived by four siblings, first and foremost his twin brother Jerry of Maple Hill, NC and his wife Dolores. Anthony and Jerry had a bond that was unbreakable and unparalleled. Their shared love of food, cooking, winemaking, relaxing on the beach, fishing, travel and life were just a few of their many shared joys over the past 65 years.

Anthony’s siblings include his sister Vincenza and her husband Frank of Martinsville, NJ, brother Pasquale and his wife Maureen of Commerce Township, MI, and his sister Rosa LoRegio of Bridgewater, NJ. He is also survived by his nephews and nieces Vincent, Frank, Vincenzina, Nichole, Breanna, Luigi and Franco, eight great nephews and nieces, and many cousins. Anthony truly loved each of them with all of his heart and enjoyed being a part of their lives and many celebrations.

Above all else, Anthony had unshakable faith and love of God. He considered himself blessed beyond measure and he always helped others with his knowledge and advice. The exceptional work ethic he learned and admired in his father was passed down to his children who are without a doubt his absolute pride and joy and greatest achievements in life. Our loss is immeasurable and the world is dimmer without him in it. We will continue to keep his memory alive always.
