Alla Kantis, beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on November 4, 1948, in Kyiv, Ukraine, Alla lived a life marked by strength, resilience, and unconditional love.

In 1978, with courage and hope for a better future, Alla immigrated to the United States with her husband, Vladimir Kantis, their 5-year-old son Eddie, and their 1-year-old daughter Marina. She built a life rooted in sacrifice and devotion, always putting her family first.

Alla worked as a home health aide, caring for others with compassion and dignity. But her greatest calling was being a wife and a mother. She loved her children more than life itself.

Strong-willed yet deeply loving, Alla was known for her honesty, courage, and protective heart. She didn’t take any nonsense from anyone—but she had endless love for her family and friends. Some of her happiest memories were made outdoors, camping and fishing with her husband, surrounded by nature and peace.

Alla is survived by her husband, Vladimir, her son Eddie, and her daughter Marina. She is also remembered with love by those who were like family: Kathleen and Paul; her cousins Kira, Anna, and Louise; and dear friends Shura and Tamara.

For those who wish to honor her memory in a meaningful way, the family is creating a Tribute Bench at Somerset County Park, a peaceful place to sit, reflect, and remember her.

Alla’s strength, love, and spirit will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew her.

Gathering with the family will be 7:00 - 9:00 PM, Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Avenue, Bound Brook, NJ 08805. Graveside prayer service will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Bound Brook Cemetery.
