Alan Zujkowski

Alan Edward Zujkowski, lovingly known as “Zukow” or “Big Al,” passed away on June 15, 2026, at the age of 76. Born January 9, 1950, Alan was raised in Bound Brook, NJ. Later living in Hillsborough, NJ before returning to his childhood home in Bound Brook.   A graduate of Bound Brook High School, Alan excelled in athletics, participating in football, basketball, and track. He continued his football career in college while completing his bachelor’s degree. He later earned his master’s degree and went on to dedicate his professional life to being a physical education teacher and coach, inspiring countless students and athletes.  Alan was best known for his congenial smile and wave, and his unmatched ability to have a good time. His larger-than-life personality left a lasting impression on everyone he met.  Alan shared many memories and years with his wife, Jeanne, and enjoyed the companionship of his dog, Roskoe. He very much enjoyed vacations in Atlantic City and, in his later years, became a familiar face at the park, where he spent mornings with friends and Roskoe.

Alan was predeceased by his wife, Jeanne; his parents, Edward and Felice Zujkowski; and his brothers, Edward and Joseph.  He is survived by his son, Alan E. Patrick Zujkowski; his daughter, Ashley A. Botts (Derek); and grandchildren, Layla and Alysha Botts. He also leaves behind many dear friends who became family.  Alan’s legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

In accordance with Alan’s wishes, no formal services are planned at this time. A Celebration of Life honoring Alan will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are under the supervision of Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, Bound Brook.
